#ASTRO CERIA ULTRAMAN ZERO SERIES#
My top 3 series are Tiga, Mebius, and Orb. Not only did have a huge impact on my knowledge of japanese media, it was also a very enjoyable series, and still is one of the best till this day imo. Like almost everyone else in my primary school, i watched the series every week. The first series i got into was Tiga, it was the first series that was broadcasting when i was small. These are just the ones I’d be most inclined to go back and rewatch on the drop of a dime. I can see the faults in the weaker series, but just like the Ultra series views on humanity, I try and look past the faults and love them for what they are.īut I love all of Ultra. I love all of them for different reasons. It’s really quite inspiring and I love that Tsuburaya has dedicated sending these messages to kids even as the series has evolved over 50 years. The messages are always that we have the capability to improve ourselves. They are always ready to point out the faults of humanity without condemning the race all together. When I’m asked about why I love Ultraman, Instead of saying it’s because of the unique monster and heroes designs or the special effects, I generally say it’s because of how positive and mature the messages the series conveys are. And from there I went to Seven, and so on. I’ve always loved the charm and ingenuity behind the Showa era’s special effects. Reading about Eiji Tsuburaya led me to Ultraman, so I went to the first Ultra series featuring Ultraman.

I discovered Ultraman through my love of Godzilla.
